Summer Courses for Adults

1 to 7 August 

Bunchúrsa Gaeilge agus Cultúr na nDéise is a week long course designed for beginners, with classes at TEG level A1 and A2 being provided each morning for people who are interested in gaining experience speaking Irish. Emphasis will be placed on vocabulary, phrases, dialect, proverbs, conversation, good company and craic! Not suitable for absolute beginners.

Course activities will be provided on the Coláiste na Rinne campus. The community ethos at the Coláiste, between staff, visiting teachers and visiting learners ensures a pleasant atmosphere, where visitors can learn and or improve their knowledge of the Irish Language whilst enjoying a culturally rich holiday.

1 to 7 August 

Is d’fhoghlaimeoirí meánleibhéal, gur suim leo dul i dtaithí ar labhairt na Gaoluinne nó suim acu tréan-iarracht a dhéanamh ar labhairt na Gaoluinne le foclóir, nathanna cainte, canúint, seanfhocail na nDéise, comhrá, comhluadar agus craic, an chúsa seo.

Beidh ranganna TEG leibhéal B1/B2 gach maidin agus ceardlainne bunaithe ar ábhair na Gaeltachta: Filíocht, Litríocht, Drámaíocht, Amhránaíocht, Stair/Logainmneacha, Béaloideas sa tráthnóna.

This course is for intermediate learners who are interested in gaining experience speaking Irish. Emphasis will be placed on vocabulary, phrases, dialect, proverbs, conversation, good company and craic!

Classes at TEG level B1 / B2 will be offered each morning, with workshops in the evenings drawing on our Gaeltacht resources as follows: Poetry, Literature, Drama, Singing, History/Placenames, Folklore and more.

8 to 14 August

The course for advanced learners is for students who who wish to become experienced in speaking Irish and wish to make intensive effort with vocabulary, phrases, dialect, Déise proverbs, conversation, company and craic. 

Classes at TEG Level C1 will be provided each morning alongside workshops focused on Gaeltacht materials: Poetry, Literature, Drama, Singing, History/Placenames, and Folklore in the evening. 

1 to 14 August 

This course is for intermediate learners who are interested in progressing further in gaining experience speaking Irish. Emphasis will be placed on vocabulary, phrases, dialect, proverbs, conversation, good company and craic! Students attending the two week package will participate in the Meánchúrsa during the first week, and the Ardchúrsa during the second week.

Classes will be offered each morning, with workshops in the evenings drawing on our Gaeltacht resources as follows: Poetry, Literature, Drama, Singing, History/Placenames, Folklore and more.
